Why Nicaragua Remote With SurfYogaBeer is The Reset You Need
Adulting can be hard. Whether it’s balancing careers, relationships, time for ourselves, taking care of human children or furry ones, or any other responsibilities that come with it, fulfilling our adult duties can take a toll on us, and sometimes we just need to hit the reset button. Enter SurfYogaBeer Nicaragua Remote, the ultimate three-week life-changing getaway curated to enhance your career, health, and overall well-being while shaking up your daily grind and giving you the time and space for retrospection, connection, and the rejuvenating reset you’ve been craving.
What is SurfYogaBeer Remote?
SYB Remote is a three-week trip designed for remote workers, nomads, entrepreneurs, those on sabbaticals, or anyone who just wants a change of scenery while working on making positive changes in their lives. Packed with the same elements of a traditional SYB trip (adventure, exploration, community, and fitness), SYB Remote gives you the opportunity to swap your tropical stock image Zoom background for actual palm trees and practice slowing down while still maintaining the productivity of your “9-5.”

The location
Tucked away from the tourists, we’re living la vida bonita in the stunning villas of Playa Maderas. Here, it’s nearly impossible to feel the weight of the everyday pressures and struggles we feel at home because our program is set against the background of a stunning natural paradise. From breathing in the new day during sunrise yoga and meditation on the most epic yoga deck to exhaling the day with new friends on the beach at sunset, you’ll quickly feel at home here. Whether you’re working or refocusing your energy on something else, our jungle beach oasis has everything you need to reset and rejuvenate. Jungle massages at sunset, anyone?
Creating healthy habits
Taking a break from routine and immersing ourselves in nature, mindfulness practices, and physical activity can reduce stress, enhance creativity, and improve mental clarity. While all activities are optional, this Remote experience focuses on balance, connection, and growth, so we regularly carve out time to create a daily rhythm that supports our well-being. We start the day with a range of fitness and movement like yoga and meditation, trail runs, or jungle gym workouts. And, of course, catching an early morning surf is easy, just steps away from the villas!
After moments of self-reflection through journaling or sweating it out at the gym, we’ll devour a freshly homemade breakfast back at the villas before deep work hours, whatever that means for you. Maybe hit the waves for some surf time during your work break or stroll over to Tres Hermanos for celebratory “I sent some emails” tacos, then start the evening by gathering with the rest of the group for sunset (it’s a verb here) and whatever else the evening holds.
While there are always moments to break away from the structure, our routine over these three weeks creates a rhythm that encourages productivity, meaningful connections, and healthy habits you can bring home later. Rinse, repeat, and wake up with the howler monkeys to do it again tomorrow.

Connection & community
While community is a core value for all SYB trips, Remote takes it to the next level by routinely bringing the group together to set intentions, lean into each other’s experiences and skills, and push each other to achieve our goals. We’re so often connected in our regular routines that SYB Remote allows us to disconnect a bit (though wifi is always fast and stable!) and connect in new ways with people, experiences, and reflective moments to help us with that reset each one of us needs.
Whether you join to advance your career, explore a new idea, pursue personal growth, or work on your physical health, the relationships built here are bound to extend beyond your time at Playa Maderas.

You don’t need to find a new coffee shop to work from or find a different office huddle room. You need a shake-up of routine, a real opportunity to flip it upside down and rejuvenize your mind and body with new people and experiences in a different format. As someone somewhere once said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” What are you hoping to shift in 2025? Try something new and give yourself the reset you’ve been needing. Join us for Nicaragua Remote.
