Welcome to Ambergris Caye, your island home base. Mornings start with SYB-style beach workouts, followed by days spent snorkeling with sea turtles and rays, paddle boarding through mangroves, or soaking up the sun with a fresh coconut in hand. Evenings are all about vibing with the crew over fresh ceviche and rum cocktails, exploring the lively streets of San Pedro, or chilling on the beach under the stars. Pack your swimsuits, your sense of adventure, and your best beach vibes—this is SYB in Belize, where we mix thrill, chill, and unforgettable memories. 🌴

We’re diving into some incredible adventures on this trip, but it’s important to stay mindful of the tropical environment—this is Belize, where the jungle and the sun don’t mess around!
Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can sneak up on you fast in the heat. Bring a refillable water bottle and make a habit of sipping water all day. Feeling good means enjoying every moment of this adventure.
Know Your Limits with Alcohol: We get it—you’ll want to try the local rum or toast with a cold beer, and we’re all for it! Just don’t go overboard. Nobody wants to play babysitter, and tropical hangovers are brutal. Keep it fun, not regrettable, so you don’t miss out on the next day’s action.
Protect Your Skin: The tropical sun is no joke, and even if you think you don’t burn easily, trust us—you will out here. Pack sunscreen, a hat, and light, breathable clothing to stay protected. You’ll be glad you did when you’re not glowing red by Day 2.
Stay smart, stay prepared, and you’ll have the time of your life out here in paradise!
The local currency in Belize is the Belize Dollar (BZD), but U.S. Dollars (USD) are widely accepted at a standard exchange rate of $1 USD = $2 BZD. Many places list prices in both currencies, so be sure to confirm before paying.
We suggest bringing about $300 to $400 USD for casual expenses like drinks, snacks, and some meals (bring more if you want extra spending money!). For reference, the average price of an alcoholic drink is around $6 to $8 USD.
There are ATMs available in San Pedro and Caye Caulker, but they can sometimes run out of cash or charge high fees. If you plan to use an ATM, inform your bank before traveling to avoid card blocks and foreign transaction fees.
💡 Pro Tip: It’s best to withdraw some cash in your home country or bring small USD bills ($1s, $5s, $10s) for easier transactions. Most places take credit cards, but some smaller vendors prefer cash.
Belize is generally safe for travelers, especially in tourist areas like San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) and Caye Caulker. The main things to watch out for are petty theft and scams, particularly in crowded areas or when withdrawing cash.
Our accommodations will have safes where you can store valuables, and we recommend leaving any important items locked up while we’re out exploring. That said, it’s best to pack light on flashy jewelry or expensive sneakers—sandals and good vibes are all you need in Belize!
As always, be aware of your surroundings, especially at night, and stick to well-lit, populated areas when heading out.
This is a tropical beach and jungle adventure—not a luxury getaway, but our property is clean, comfortable, and surrounded by stunning nature. Just watch for bugs and spiders (keep those doors shut!), and you’ll be all good!
Expect morning workouts, beach runs, sunset yoga, and fitness games paired with big group dinners, lively nights out, and lots of dancing. But no pressure—you can always take it at your own pace and relax back at the house if you prefer.
With an open mind and a sense of adventure, you’re in for an unforgettable Belizean escape! 🌴
