Japanese Slopes and Apres Sake

Welcome to the newest SYB destination; Japan! We'll meet in Tokyo for two days of exploring before changing into our ski gear and heading to the mountains for Snow Yoga Beer. In Tokyo, we'll visit a crazy art exhibit called Team Lab Planets, roam Yoyogi Park, Tsukiji Fish Market, Shibuya Sky and finish with Karaoke on Japanese style in the Golden Gai district at night. You'll be surprised what we'll do/see in just two days. Once we've explored the biggest city in the world, the ski party starts! Hop on board our domestic flight (this is included) to Hokkaido, known for its abundant powder snow... like a lot of pow pow. We're going to a town called Niseko; alive with nightlife and too many slopes to count. Besides incredible skiing, we have on our agenda a day at the Yugokorotei Onsen, which is an outdoor natural hot spring, and the Niskeo Distillery. Expect all the nonstop activities of a typical SYB trip, mixed in with unreal skiing on one of the most powder prone mountains in the world. We've been waiting to share this sake, sushi, snow adventure for many years... are you ready?

Explore Tokyo
Explore Tokyo

Time to break the jet lag with a morning movement at the park right in front of our hotel, Shinjuku Chuo Park. A mild workout to build an appetite, enjoy a breakfast, shower up and start our Tokyo tours at Team Lab art exhibit. After the crazy Japanese culture showcase, we get a little free time. We recommend exploring Yoyogi Park, Tsukiji Fish Market, Shibuya Sky. Later we will meet up for bar hopping/karaoke in Golden Gai district at night!

Hokkaido
Hokkaido

After todays morning workout and breakfast, we catch our SYB shuttle to the 12:40pm flights to Hokkaido to finally get to our skiing destination!

After checking into our hotel, we take a snow walk to the see the local town and mountain we will conquer the next few days!

Full Send Ski Day
Full Send Ski Day

Early wake up to get our stretch on, fill up on some breaky, then either go get our rentals, or straight to get ski passes and hit the mountain! We'll break up in groups based on skill level and have our designated apres ski meet up locations!

After a long day of skiing, we shower up and head together into town for some sushi, saki and the local favorite activity Karaoke!

Ski Day #2 and Natural Hot Springs
Ski Day #2 and Natural Hot Springs

As always, morning wake up yoga followed by a big breakfast. We continue on our skiing expedition for our second full day, but towards the end of the day we head over to Onsen (Yugokorotei), our natural sexy hot springs for a spa day!

Dinner is on your own tonight, or you can just stay at the spa all night, your choice!

Ski Day #3 and Theme Party
Ski Day #3 and Theme Party

We've got a rhythm now, and after exploring our huge mountain and all the new slopes we get back for our theme party! What is it you ask? You'll get the email about a month before we depart, surprise surprise!

Ski Day #4 and Niseko Distillery Tasting and Tour
Ski Day #4 and Niseko Distillery Tasting and Tour

Nothing like hitting the slopes to cure a hang over, and it that doesn't help then it's going to be the hair of the dog that helps! Todays activity is the local Niseko Distillery for a tour and yes, of course, a tasting of that local Japanese gold.

Ski Day #5 and Themed Ski Day
Ski Day #5 and Themed Ski Day

When we hit the slopes today, it's all about our costumes! We will recognize each other flying down the mountain from a mile away - but we're not telling you what the theme is until a month before we depart!

Safety in Japan

Because of the complexity with flights we will not be providing transport from arriving to the airport in Tokyo. Please fly in before 2pm so that you can check-in to the hotel and make our 5pm orientation. The hotel is a 20 minute drive from the airport.

Please input your flight info on our check-in platform so we can keep track of you.

We recommend flying to Los Angeles or San Francisco and then taking a direct flight to Tokyo from there.

*PLEASE NOTE* Our trip ends in Hokkaido and you will need to find your own flights back to Tokyo or whatever your destination may be. The airport in Hokkaido is the New Chitose Airport in Sapporo.

This trip is for intermediate and advanced skiers only. Our goal is to stay together and crush the unreal majestic slopes of Hokkaido and not just the bunny slopes. We will be dividing into two groups, one more advanced and one more intermediate and explore the vast landscapes!

Intermediate means you can go down on groomed slopes of moderate difficulty, such as blue runs. You should be able to control your speed speed and direction by making parallel turns, and can adapt to different snow conditions and terrain features.

Up to you. If you have equipment, please feel free to bring it. If not, we will be renting from a local shop. They can provide any and all equipment needed for skiing or snowboarding.

Yes, we've got a ski room!

Yes it will! That is one of the reasons we chose this mountain, because so many of you want to give it a rip! If you do not need our lift tickets we offer a $200 discount. Please use this code at check-out: MYOWNPASS

Anyone using this pass will not be provided lift tickets and will need to purchase it themselves.

*Only valid at check-out and cannot be redeemed after purchase.

All levels are welcome. We will divide into beginner, soft intermediate, hard intermediate, and advanced groups. Recommend some experience as this is a proper mountain, not a bunny hill.

It's actually super convenient as our hotel is walking distance to the lifts!

Yes, on the daily to clean you filthy animals up!

Our trip officially starts at 5 pm on February 1st, as that is when you check into our hotel.

Our trip ends on the morning of February 9th. We will be in Niseko, Hokkaido. You will need to book your flight back to either Tokyo to catch your roundtrip flight or fly directly from Sapporo, Hokkaido to your next destination!

This is mandatory. You need to have this to join our trip!

No need to whip out your phone or camera at any point throughout this trip because we have got you covered. We will have a professional photographer and videographer joining us on this trip to capture every moment. These will be the best travel photos and videos you will ever get - you're friends better be ready for a photo dump out of their wildest dreams!!

This experience is included in trip fees.

First stop, Tokyo! The largest city in the world, but don't worry we've got all the tips for the hottest place to go to!

Next stop, Niseko in Hokkaido. This is the powder capital of the world. This place gets so more snow than 90% of other ski resorts! There are tons of restaurants, saki bars, and local places we will be exploring in this town!

We are staying at the The Knot Tokyo in Shinjuku for two nights and then we are going to Always Niseko in Hokkaido for 6 nights.

The local currency in Japan is the yen. However, most establishments do accept credit cards.

We suggest bringing about ¥60,000 (around $400) to use at bars and at your one dinner not included. Feel free to bring more if you're worried about running out, but otherwise, we've got you covered!

There are ATMs in the town of Niseko, but we urge you to prepare and withdraw cash before the start of the trip!

All meals are included except for 1 dinner in town. Alcohol is semi-provided, meaning first rounds, and maybe occasional shots to warm up the party.

Many local foods in the town of Niseko are best-enjoyed post-winter activities! From Wagu beef to Makkari pork, all washed down with the famous local Niseko Sake. Because of its lush natural surroundings and pristine water, Niseko's local sake is also immensely drinkable.

Tap water is safe to drink, but it is heavily chlorinated. Often, it is suggested to drink filtered or mineral water. However, this is pure preference!

Japan is very safe for tourists. There is a very low crime, especially in the places we are visiting. However, we suggest leaving all important items in the safe while we are out exploring - but maybe keep your Yeezys and nice jewelry at home!

With a trip of this nature, skiing can be dangerous. Make sure you feel comfortable on skis!
